SeaKlear Chlorine-Free Shock

Uses and Benefits of SeaKlear® Chlorine-Free Shock

For years, conventional wisdom told us to routinely superchlorinate every week or two. Yesterday's technology had negative effects such as its effect on pH, stabilizer buildup and extended pool shutdowns.

Now there is a better way! Using monopersulfate rather than chlorine makes shocking pool, spa, or hot tub water easier, less messy and more effective. SeaKlear Chlorine-Free Shock means improved water quality and a reduced workload.

Swim in 15 Minutes
Superchlorinating a pool can make it unsuitable for swimming for up to 24 hours after treatment, and the pool or spa can't be used. SeaKlear Chlorine-Free Shock burns organic waste quickly and effectively. The water is left fresh and odor free. And swimming can resume just 15 minutes after treatment. In larger pools containing over 30,000 gallons wait at least one hour before swimming.

Effective Oxidation
Regular oxidation along with proper sanitation helps maintain clear, sparkling water that is free of disease- and infection-causing bacteria and viruses and other microorganisms. SeaKlear Chlorine-Free Shock is an oxygen-based oxidizer that reacts completely with organic waste. SeaKlear Chlorine-Free Shock breaks down organic waste that can lead to chloramine formation. Chloramines cause cloudy water with odors and irritation to swimmers. Regular use of SeaKlear Chlorine-Free Shock prevents the side effects of chloramines.

pH Fluctuation and Contaminant Buildup
Shocking with chlorine can affect pH and potentially cause stabilizer buildup. SeaKlear Chlorine-Free Shock prevents the buildup of organic contaminants that can lead to the formation of smelly chloramines and algae growth.

SeaKlear Chlorine-Free Shock is the perfect companion to SeaKlear Natural Clarifier. This powerful combination ensures that all organic waste has been removed. This system also removes oils and excess heavy metals. SeaKlear Chlorine-Free Shock and Natural Clarifier used together are guaranteed to make a significant difference in any pool, spa or hot tub.

SeaKlear Chlorine-Free Shock FAQs

How soon can the water be used after shocking?
In most pools,* swimming can resume 15 minutes after use of SeaKlear Chlorine-
Free Shock.
*In larger pools containing over 30,000 gallons wait at least an hour before using the pool.

How is this different from chlorine shocking?
SeaKlear Chlorine-Free Shock will achieve the same results as breakpoint chlorination without the negative effects of high chlorine such as pool closure or equipment damage. It reduces chloramines and cloudiness of water while allowing swimming within 15 minutes.

What's the difference between "sanitizing" and "oxidizing"?
Sanitizing means to kill viruses, bacteria and pathogens. This is the purpose of a sanitizer, such as chlorine. Oxidation means to "burn up" the small particles of dirt, dust and organic buildup that lead to the formation of chloramines.
